How do you plan to specialize? (Day Class)
Please tell the class how you plan to specialize yourself within the U.S. economy. What training will you need, where will you find this training and how much will this training cost? What services or skills will you be trading with others? Remember to comment on the post of your peers.

I intend on majoring in japanese and minoring in business. so i could handle foreign exchange or just handle the translations while someone handles business here.
ReplyDeleteMy uncle is stationed in Okinawa right now as a Marine. From what he and his family have told us it seems like a really awesome place to visit and they have a great business-friendly atmosphere and amazing culture. Hope your plans work out.
DeleteI plan on enlisting in the Navy and specializing in law enforcement. I hope the Navy will be able to give me the training I desire with no cost to me at all (except perhaps my time, but since that will be my job I don't really consider that a loss at all). While in the Navy I plan on providing safety and peace of mind to the sailors and Marines living and working at the base/station. When I get out I hope to provide those skills to companies by advising them on different security systems and procedures.

DeleteI plan on becoming a sports medicine doctor. I will need to go to college for four years and then medical school for four years. During this time I will learn all of the anatomy and physiology topics which can include things like muscles, bones, the digestive system, etc. After that I will need to do residency for anywhere between three to eight years and then a fellowship for one to three years. During this time I will use the information I learned previously and apply it to a real-life situation. This training is a good amount of money. The services I will be trading will be helping people with injuries and finding the best way for them to heal.

ReplyDeleteAfter I finish this session I plan on going to inver community college. I will be working torward getting my bachelors degree in social work. It will take 4 years and it will cost around $15,000 a yr. I cant wait to start college this fall.

DeleteI plan to specialize myself by going to college. I'm going to study graphic design and i like working with game compay. However, i haven't decided which college i will go to, privite one or public one so i really don't know exactly the cost of 4 year college. When i enter workforce, i can trade my produce (art, video) for my essential need.

DeleteWhat i want to do for specializing is become a doctor. i want to attended the university of Wisconsin. but i don't know how well that will work. but when i become a doctor i will specialize in fixing people and then they can fix my stuff. if they don't fix my stuff then i won't fix them and they would probably die! not really but anyways thats what i would/will specialize in!

DeleteLater on in life I plan and hope to open up my very own restaurant. In order to do that I will probably have to go to collage to get my MBA. Once I have this I might take a course at Le Cordon Bleu. then I will hopefully know the ins and outs of business. I will specialize in making the best food that any restaurant has ever served. I don't really know how much all of this is going to cost, but my grandmother has paid for all the other grandchildren to go to any collage of their choosing. I want to go to St.Cloud State. AND NO ITS NOT BECAUSE OF YOU CHRIS.
ReplyDeleteThat's good planning if you want to have your own restaurant that you have knowledge of business, because if you don't know, your business could go under and that's money down the drain. Saint Cloud seems like a great school. That's one out of three schools I'm deciding on currently.
DeleteI plan on specializing in therapy. I'll need a lot of training. I'll need to go to school for it. After that I plan to find a good job, hopefully working with people with mental health issues. It should cost around $15,000 a year. I'd be trading my advice and listening for money.

DeleteI plan to specialize in radiational therapy. ill need at least two years in school but I plan to do 4. I Plan to go to white bear lake and do two years there. the cost of schooling should be around $20,000. after schooling I plan to work at a hospital to help people. I would be treating cancer with radiation therapy.

DeleteI am planning on going on to cosmetology for 1 year. The things ill need to learn are cutting hair, coloring hair, waxing and nails. Im planning on going to the one in Egan either Empire or Regency. Depending on which school i decide to go to itll be $9000-$11000. What ill be trading is a haircut for money so i can keep up with rent on my chair and rent for where i live.
ReplyDeleteMy best friends mom cuts hair, she says that she loves it B/c she occasionally has customers that come in and just tell her to go wild on her hair. they don't care what she does. so it requires some creativity that I don't have, so I'm impressed that you can do such a thing.
DeleteI am planning on going into the air force as a military police I should get all the training from the military at no cost to me (hopefully). But after wards I plan on going into law enforcement so I would be helping with the security aspect of the economy.
ReplyDeleteI plan to specialize by going to college and getting training and knowledge about a career path. Because of college and coursework I will become more efficient at that career than others and be able to exchange goods and services for less costs than doing things on my own.
ReplyDeleteI plan on specializing by looking into the computer hardware and software industry and deciding where to go from there. I will need to go to technical college to be able to decide which path to choose and learn the skills necessary to earn a living doing what I want to do. I will be trading my time and resources to help further either the software or hardware industry.

DeleteI plan on specializing in nursing, i particularly want to be a nurse practitioner. I will be going to a community college to start then eventually switching to a different college to finish my nursing program. I will be trading my skills with clients, just so that i can bless people. I really do not expect any trading process to go on.

DeleteI will be specializing by going to culinary school and getting my masters in culinary arts which will be pretty expensive after four years around 30000$ , work in a restaurant for a while then go back to school for a business degree when that is done i will try to open my own restaurant. i will be trading my culinary skills and good food with people for their money and business.

DeleteI plan on going into meteorology probably at SCSU. I will go for 4 years and it will cost me 62,664 dollars before any grants. I will need to know anything and everything in meteorology in order to help everyone in a day to day life plan safe ways of travel or great activities they would enjoy doing. I don't think there is a trade for me per say besides that satisfaction of my utility.

DeleteI'll be learning and tracking how weather is formed and when it will hit regions. I hope to help develop an algorithm that will predict exactly when and where a tornado will touch down in an area. Giving people more time to evacuate rather than having only 5 to 10 minutes to seek shelter.
DeleteAfter school I plan to be an English and/or German teacher. I haven't looked at any school except for inver hills for my generals and maybe SCSU after that. It'll cost me about 10,000 per year. It'll help students get there education and learn a language they desire to learn and I'll be happy to know that I'm helping other do what they like.

ReplyDeleteBut on the other hand, I believe that I have a strength in helping others, like in mental or physical therapy. I will go to college for 4 maybe 6 years, 2 years at a community college and then transfer to a university. It may cost $50000 for all my teaching, but having a good job that I am skillful in will allow me to make more money to pay off by loan debt and also allow me to trade my earnings for good and services that others are specialized in producing and giving.

DeleteI plan on being an ultrasound tech, I will go to school for four years, I'm not sure how much it is going to cost. It really depends on where I go to school. The school will be giving me the service of teaching me and I will be trading money and someday helping mothers find out about their babies.
ReplyDeletewhen i get out of high school i plan on going to school for law enforcement i am going to go to college for 4 years. i am not sure how much it is going to cost. the school i go to will teach me how to keep our community safe and i would give them money to do this then later i will keep the community safe.

DeleteWhen I'm finished with at Abe I want to start St.Kates in February for 2-3 years cost is 649.00 per credit. And finish off at St .Paul college for Medical Est. And credits are 27 in 4 months.
ReplyDeleteI plan to specialize myself in the field of mechanical engineering at Pittsburgh State University. It will cost me about 24,000 dollars per year for 6 years to get my masters degree and around 10,000 to get my generals MSU. I will be designing buildings blue prints and floor plans and then selling them to construction companies or selling my services to companies that need private floor plans.
ReplyDeleteI was accepted into the Normandale PSEO program which I will be Enrolled in this upcoming fall. I really don't have a plan of what to do with my life after that. All I know is that I want a double major in English and Cinema. I will probably finish my generals at Normandale; Then move onto larger university for my majors. I was thinking about enlisting in the marines (active duty). Which would cost me four years of my life to pay for my schooling.
