Think
about the activity we did in class today. What were some of the
problems you and your group encountered? Take time to
ponder......................Then respond to this question!
Do you
think only people with enough money should get the goods produced in an
economic system? Or should a government decide who receives the goods?
Explain.
I think people with money should be the ones able to buy goods and services. The government shouldn't give goods to people that don't work. It is their own choice not to work and make money so if they choose to do so, they won't be able to purchase necessary essentials for living. The people that want to sit around and be unproductive with their lives shouldn't get money, food, etc from the government. Also, they shouldn't get money from the taxes working people pay to help them. I don't agree with the government in that because people that sit around and don't even try to get a job get tax money from people that do work.
ReplyDeleteI agree that the government shouldn't just give out goods. it makes the people lazy and less productive if they know they are getting paid no matter what.
DeleteI agree that some people are just lazy and do not care to work, but you can't throw out the fact that there are people who do really need assistance to be able to live. Thats why I think that there is no perfect answer to this question.
DeleteI believe that only people with money should be able to buy goods. Because if the government decides to just give out goods no one will work as hard for their money and production will go down. Some problems my group encountered were that some people were not able to work efficiently enough to meet the quotas.
ReplyDeleteYa, I agree. They give out goods to unemployed people that don't even try to get jobs or make money. I don't think they should do that.
DeleteI agree with you. If the government gives handouts no one will work hard anymore
DeleteThe answer to this question is definitely not black and white. I do think that many people work the system because in some cases, they get more money doing that then they would having a job. I also believe that there are many people who truly need assistance so I don't want to say that they shouldn't be helped. Overall though I do think that those people who work hard and are productive parts of society should reap the benefits of economic goods.
ReplyDeleteWhat you're saying is so right. There isn't a specific answer, but people who work hard should definitely get more benefits than those who don't.
DeleteI think the person who has money should be able to get the goods and services. I don't agree with the government and let them decide who gets what. If a person has the means to get the goods and services they should get that right. There are many people who rely on the government for help and some do need the help and of course there are others who use and abuse the system in every possible way. You should have to work hard to get the best goods and services.
ReplyDeleteEveryone should have access to food, water, shelter, the essentials. No matter how much money you have, you should be able to have the basics of living. The government should not be in charge of handing out anything to anybody, they would probably do a terrible job at it. They should be in charge of making sure every citizen has the essentials, or making them available to everyone. Otherwise, for the more expensive, unnecessary things, should be available for purchase to people who can afford them. Anything that isn't needed for survival, you should have to work for. No one should get anything handed to them.
ReplyDeleteI believe that everyone deserves to have access to food and supplies and everything, except lazy people. Lazy people dont deserve the resources because they havent worked hard for it unlike the people that actually try to work hard. The government should only be in charge that everyone has what they need
